Drove the wheels off it! Need new wheels!
I finallty put a Lipo in my new Tornado Pro. ITISFAST!! Sadly though, the wheels could not take the power. Two completly ripped off and a 3rd has a chunk missing. I was cresting a grass hill at top speed and as the buggy got a little light the two right side wheels went flying off....my first thought was that thenuts had comeoff but alas the wheels were toast.
I found this from "Mickstix".....will these wheels work for electric or just Nitro?.......
"The wheels/tires for the Team Associated B44 will fit the Tornado.. (It's their 4wd buggy) The rear wheels/tires for the B4 (2wd) will also fit.. The rears are the same on the B4 and B44.. (Fronts on the 2wd B4 are thinner than the 4wd B44) Check somewhere like Tower Hobby for the B44 stuff.. Search for "B44 wheels or B44 Tires" You should be able to find plenty of options on there.. If ya want to get real Redcat wheels/tire replacements check out URCHobby.com Kurt will take care of ya! "
THANKSINADVANCE!
Now Ihave to go discharge a completely full Lipo Battery.....bummer.

I am not entirely sure that they will fit. Reason being that the B4 rear wheels run off of a straight pin, the redcat however uses a 12mm hex. However if you remove the hex and the pin is the same size, you may be able to do it.
Btw, there really is no need to discharge the LiPo and discharging it too far may actually hurt it.

Will do some more research on the wheels.
From what I have read, you are supposed to store a Lipo at 3.8v per cell.

I wouldn't rush to replace your wheels with factory replacements. I think this is one area where Redcat attempts to keep the price low for customers. My Tornado S30 wheels lasted about 15 minutes the first time I brought it to the track. Two of them completely split in half. The plastic they were made out of was very brittle and unforgiving. Find some after market rims from Pro-line or other companies. A 2.2 size rim will fit. Just make sure they have some offset to them. Don't get a zero offset rim or they might rub. After replacing your wheels and tires and tightening everything down, you'll have a lot of fun with that Volcano with very little down time. My son's Caldera 10E has only broke twice since July of last year. I've replaced the steering knuckles with aluminum and a spur gear 2 months ago.

I had traxxas stampede 2.2 rear tires on mine. the fronts requried some trimming on the inside of the wheel.
you want rims who's hex is toward the chassis side of the wheel. if the hex is deep inside the rim, its likely the rim will rub the suspension arm or camber link mount.

3.7-3.8 is a good storage charge, most lipos will charge to 4.22 on a cold day. You should not store them fully charged, it is the primary cause of permanent swelling. Storing at 4.1 probably isn't too bad, but 4.2 would be asking for trouble.

Yeh, honestly, it's really bad for em. Couple of weeks on a full charge usually results in swelling. Some packs are more resistant than others. It;s the main way I ruin my own lipos, I don't bother storage charging ones I don't use after bashing, so they sit fully charged for a few weeks at a time.

Hasnt happened to myself, but then I never have a lipo go more than 7-10days (at the most) fully charged without being used.
But I will keep that in mind from now on!
I have a couple of swollen packs, but that was from running them to low ( or in a model that demanded more amps then they could put out)

I'm equally surprised you hadn't heard that. I have three 3S packs swollen like this. Two still balance, one doesn't.

Shady, did I sell you my Tornado? I sold one off them to one of the members on here, can't remember which one. That one had the Hpi rims I was talking about. They worked perfect.
