Default Jet legend red arrow hawk help.

Hi guys need a bit of help. Took my jet legends hawk out for its maiden yesterday, but it wouldn't fly!!! As in title it's a Jet Legends Red Arrow Hawk. Turbine is a booster 90 so not short of power. Ran it at full power brakes off and down the strip it went, but the plane made no attempt to go light at all. So back home I check c of g it was spot on 120mm like manual called for. Movements again all as per the manual. I drained the fuel out and pushed down on the rear fin. It took a lot of force to lift the front end, so think this is the problem! It took 3 lbs of pressure to lift the front wheel with no fuel, and 4.5lbs of pressure to lift the front with a full tank. That seems a lot for an elevator to lift? Can anyone with the same Hawk please check there's and advice what pressure needs to be applied to there plane.

Thanks

Paul

You should search the threads on here. The cg needs to be 145.

I did read loads of stuff last night, and people seemed to fly between 100mm and 135 on the threads I've seen. Not read anything with the same issues as I'm having, that's why I posted. Would be great to know what pressure is required by people flying this model.

Regards

Paul

Forget the pressure, set the cg at 145mm.

Makes sence moving the tanks on the red arrows version the tank is completely in front of the c of g. That was the next thing to do once I get the thing off the ground. For now I will move the cog back then and try with half a tank of fuel.

Yeah, move the Cg to 145mm aft.
Mine flew beautifully at that setting. Absolutely no problem rotating off grass with a K80.

Hi, just an update. Tried the hawk with half a tank of fuel with the c of g moved to 145mm took off half strip. Filled it back up with full tanks, and again took off no problems.

Thanks for the help
