Default Tactic Radios

I am looking for a back up radio for my small stuff. Does anyone have any experience with the Tactic brand? The prices are right but I have no experience with them. Any suggestions?

Ihave not used it but several people at my field have it as an add on to Spektrum and seem to have NO problems.
I thought it was just a low price product from Tower/Futaba?

Have fun.

The reports on the Tatic brand of radios by Hobbico are good. Here is a thread on the Tatic 650 transmitter that has a lot of good information:

GBarber and I did the review for the Tactic TTX650 here at RCU...
I absolutely love mine.
the thing I like most about this one in particular, I have a lot of Flyzone park flyers, but I don't particularly care for the Anylink system.
(only a personal preference... I really dislike putting velcro on my 'good' transmitters.. the anylink system itself is a good one IMHO.)
the 650 lets me have one parkflyer transmitter with plenty of programming options.
programing is pretty straightforward too!

The new Tactic radios are from SJ Propo (Korea). It's the same company who makes the SJ/Graupner stuff like radios, chargers and servos. In fact, they own Graupner. SJ is also behind the Hyperion servos and some of the lower priced Airtronics servos like the ATX 94809.

Been using the Anylink module and receivers on the back of my Futaba radio for small stuff for some time now with
no issues. I would recommend it.

It is my understanding that the new version of the Hitec Aurora 9 Tx, the A9X version will have the RF waveform built in so it can fly these Tactic type airplanes/RXs. It also works with the present Hitec Rxs and a newer 4096/7ms version.
Supposed to be in on sale in the next month or so Ithink.
