RE: TOP FLITE GIANT SCALE P51 ARC
I've just finished an electric version of the P51 and was straightening the factory right landing gear and broke the wire. If anyone has the factory gears that would like to sell them, please let me know.

Looks good Bruno, I suspect you'll need to break out the airbrush for that "heat treated" stainless steel look. With Spring Break coming up, it'll be a good opportunity to make some progress on that awesome bird.
Hey Ron, I ran into a guy at the field a couple a weeks ago who said you sold him a blue nosed TF GS P51b. That wouldn't be Duane & Sam's old one would it. What's yer plan? By the way, the 88 degree Sierra side-rails will really help the dreaded P51 "turn left after landing/ bend a strut" syndrome. That is If you have the Sierra gear. Geeze, I'm gettin' tired of this "nice weekdays, crappy weekend weather pattern we've been in lately. Sorry for complaining but I'm just ichin' to fly!

Thanks Doug,
Some more tape applied on the fuselage and canopy frame, I will build up some sections on the wing filet to give some contrast with the other panels and will also use some thicker aluminum. The wing will be painted as the full scale, I'll add some raised panels as well.

Yo my brotha and fellow Mustang driva........That would be the one I bought from Duane. See pic attached.... Flew it a few times and sold it. Very nice young man. I was hoping he'd have good luck with it. Did he say wether or not he's flown it. I got the D modle now that I bought from Sam. Same problem......Once she touches down, all's good until that tail settles on, then the adventure begins. I was at the One Eight Air Force Scale Fly in this weekend in Phoenix. Good Times had by all. Lots of Warbirds, Lots of flyin......... No I didn't have anything with me but go to fly anyway.
BTW............We're having our annual spring Warbirds Warmup in May. It's gonna be combined into a two day event with a Buy and fly swap meet/Auction. As soon as I get the dates, I let you know......
I WILL EXPECT YOU AND CLARK TO COME DOWN AND FLY........................JUST SAYIN
CAPTAIN RON

Ron,
He hadn't flown her yet...was a little worried but was glad to see how well the Princess flew. He asked many questions...does seem like a nice guy. He was flying an ESM La7 with the 2 cyl XYZ 50 and did a great job. Add another Warbird pilot to the ranks!

Apparently RCU's take on the problems.
Personally, I think their problems are even worse.

Off from school for couple of weeks, time to get this puppy ready for Warbirds over Denver ( event not to miss!).
The new scoop mold is finished with two scoops ready for now, sure looks better than the stock one!
The engine is installed with all the controls, choke is actuated from inside the cockpit. Dubro 32oz tank, should be enough for the 3W70.
Rudder and tail wheel cables installed, the tail wheel is controlled by an independent servo so it can be trimmed independently from the rudder.
Next stop glue the scoop, sand the wing then apply the panel line tape. The wing will be painted silver.

Thanks Goose, I might make few more for about $35.00/pc
Waiting for my piano hinge to finish installing the inner gear doors, the scoop is now installed with some micro ballon mix to fit properly with the rear fuselage.
While waiting for the mixture to cure I went on to apply a primer coat on my refurbished ESM/KMP ME109E, I might even have it ready for Warbirds Over Denver.

The wing is ready to paint.
I used the traditional method by applying a 1/64 tape after drawing the panel lines in pencil then sprayed a coat of primer filler creating an indentation. For the rivets, this is more time consuming , it took me about most of the day to get all rivets imprinted on both side. I first used a small three views then measured all the rivet lines location and scaled them out on the wing, well this isn't a scale wing so had to get as close as allowed.
Using a small brass tube on a soldering gun the works started and no I didn't count them!
Following a light sanding with 220 grid I applied some aluminum tape for the gun and amo hatches.
