I Can't Believe it!
This is a Traxxas Rustler w/ a TRX Pro.15 I just stripped the glow plug threads in the heat sink. I guess you are never supposed to tighten a glow plug while your engine is hot. I'm so mad right now. I got the truck for $100 bucks on last Friday and just got my servos in today. I drove the truck around for like 1 min at a time because I didn't have the mixture set right and it kept stalling out. So, I was tuning it and made it too rich and flooded the engine. I took the glow plug out while the engine was hot and turned the engine over a few times. Tried to screw the glow plug back in and relized that the threads were stripped. I almost threw the truck across the basement. I'm so mad... I didn't even get to drive it fast.
So, my question is, was it screwing the glow plug back in while the engine was hot that messed up the threads or was it just a coincidence that the threads stripped?

They were already jacked most likely. I pull & reinstall plugs on hot engines all the time to put after run oil directly in the bore.
Head buttons are cheap. Don't sweat it.

I'm going to AutoZone today to see if they have any heli coils that will work for it, if they do I'm going to use it as a temporary fix and then get a new head eventually.

The Traxxas engines don't use head buttons. The OP will need to either repair the threads with a heli coil or put a new head in it.
Nevertheless, a quick search turned up brand new pro .15 heads for $20. The Heli-coil kit will cost more than that.
