The D1 section of the NSRCAwebsite doesn't seem to havemuch 2013 contest information. The only one that Isee in there is for AGSon 9/22. Does anyone have the info?

I am in the process of getting the NSRCA site updated with the d1 schedule... in the mean time here is what I have. I will update the field location as soon as I get them.

Saturday was field maintenance day at the LVRCS and the airfield is in great condition! I put six flights on the Nuance Sunday and can say that the club's new roller and the guys operating it are doing a terrific job: I hope they can keep it up! Very encouraging for the season's event schedule now that good flying weather is on the way. Will be interesting to see if guys start flying their CPA pattern schedules towards the July contest; I know the AMA pattern pilots in NJ have been practicing most of the winter (except maybe Feb which was crummy); but most will be Nats bound in early July so the Classic guys will likely have to carry the day on 13 July, as far as contest turn-out goes. Will likely stay in PA and fly this one, postponing my first Nats till next year. We don't expect many NSRCA pilots to enter; but if a few who are not Nats-bound come out to the Valley to fly along side the CPA guys, it should be a fun-filled day. I myself have never seen a Classic pattern contest so it will be a hobby first for me.

Here is the link for the Hudson Valley R/C website. The Primer is May 4 at one of the most beautiful sites in the north east. The field has been rolled and cut super short for anything you may have.

The sooner the D1 Site is updated the better, its hard to plan the season without any official info being posted.

The D1 vs D2 challenge will be held August 31 and Sept 1. Initially it was going to be a Sunday/Monday event due to the Blue Angels in town for the local airshow. With all Blue Angels shows now cancelled, the airshow has been cancelled, so it will be back to Saturday/Sunday. We will be having dinner again as we always do. I really hope to see some D1 guys come down this year,

D1-D2 is on my wish list, however, it is the same weekend as elderly father-in-law's birthday and our wedding anniversary. Not sure if it will be this year for me, but if I cannot make it this year, then it gets priority for next year! Lame I know as I didn't make it down there last year either, some day.

The anniversary stuff is easy. On Saturday, many of the women have gone shopping at a local Amish market, and then we have a really nice dinner on the Chesapeake Bay. There is also a very nice Bed and Breakfast, less than 2 miles from the field, which makes a nice weekend getway.

Hi Arch, as it turns out, family plans have changed and I will be free for the D1-D2. I just need to book a room somewhere and want to re-confirm dates first. The NSRCA events list still has 9/1-2 but I believe your post above is still correct? Thanks for any updates. Dana
