K&V .60 ?
Can anyone please provide any further info on the attached engine? It carries the label K&V Italy. Maybe a Kosmic? It is possibly a prototype and appears to be about a .60 size- it has not, however, been disassembled to verify internal dimensions. The carburettor appears to be a Super Tigre. I don't know if this is standard. Thank you!Peter

RE: K&V .60 ?
Doesn't look like any Kraft engine I have ever seen. Check out the funky forward facing carb! Is that front rotary disc induction? Reed valve maybe? There is no crankshaft passage, note the webs on the front housing. Never seen anything like this.

It doesn't look like a regular engine with that forward facing carburetor like that. But superficially it looks like several engines that used that basic crankcase design though. Very unusual carb setup facing forward like that. Looks like it is a piston port induction method to me.

It looks like a drone version of a Kraft .61.

There were a few engines made with a forward facing inlet but none that I recall in a 61 size. I'm fairly sure that'll have a disc valve as part of the crankweb going by the size of that front housing. The carb is too low down for it to be piston port. I'll post the photos over on another forum where there are some very knowledgeable engine collectors and see if someone can identify it.

You may be correct about the type of induction, but I'll still place my money on it being primarily a single speed engine, such as is used in a drone installation.
And I'm sorry that we mere mortals don't know enough to answer your questions. < G >
Now THIS pisses me off! I put a lesser than sign capital G greater than sign after the above sentence to let my friend from down under know that I was just kidding and this software removed it. STOP IT!

NM2K, they have to remove things like that from the text to prevent malicious hacker criminal types from using various means to gain access to the servers for their nefarious purposes.

I am not knowlegable enough to know what this engine is but at first glance my RJL 61 came to mind. It has similar characteristics in the head and muffler shapes, however with that carb and where it is located, it is quite different.

RE: K&V .60 ?
Thanks for all the input so far!The owner has told me that it did come from Kosmic in Italy in the mid 1970's. More info than that he doesn't have. It seems pretty rare then... I suspect that since they may not have produced an R/C throttle/carb, a Super Tigre one fitted, so that's what is on the engine.

It appears to have a very SuperTigre looking carb and the prop nut looks like the bronxe prop nut on an OPS that had the threaded bronze sleeve that extended through the prop washer.
