RE: 100mph Flux?
Ah man, I can't wait to see this in action. I managed to get my Flux 2350 up to 45mph on 2 Gens Ace 2s 50C batteries. Hobby Wing WPSC8 ESC works great.

Made some passes today!
You know your goin fast when you have bugs on your grill lol
This truck is soooo much easier to drive than the nitro. Im going to guess that the weight is the reason. This trucks weighs 16.5lbs compared to 9.5lbs for the nitro. Up till about 80% throttle the truck is still squirrelly, but when I hammer it down the truck instantly locks in place and just drives as straight as can be. Another cool thing is watching the suspension work as it drives by. Its not as stiff as the nitro trucks but man she drives like a dream. Im hoping that 12s yields 90mph. My temps at 80mph were between 130-135F for the motor and 120-125F for the esc's. As the packs drained I got slower and the temps lowered. Now I could be wrong here, but im thinking that with 12s my temps should be lower. If thats the case then I can throw quite a bit more gearing at this thing. Overall im very pleased and well on my way to 100mph.
BTW this is now the fastest Flux in the world

Temps will continue to rise the more watts you shove through the motor. As you no doubt know, watts is amps multipled by volts. While a motor may not require as many amps to hit a specific RPM with a higher voltage battery, the higher voltage is still making it work that much harder, that's why power output is expressed in Watts rather than amps or volts. This is also why you noticed temps dropping with voltage drops.
Excellent setup, I'm impressed. Keeping the flash lexan at the front of the body to work as ground effects was inspired. Bravo.

The guy is trying to sell just the tires. Now conventional thinking is going to tell you that a smaller diameter wheel will make you go slower, not true. I have proved just that with my two savages. Hes selling a 1/5 wheel that weighs A LOT more than some X0-1 or Foamies. So do the math, add a larger diameter wheel and go faster, NO that larger wheel comes with added weight or rotational mass. That is mass that robs power and will not allow you to push taller gearing. Theres no way a single motor flux using the stock 2200kv will ever reach 100mph esp with those wheels. I pulled off 88mph with one motor and the other had lifted up and was not meshed.
Put those over priced wheels on your savage and you will never reach your goal. Im also not going to run X0-1's anymore I have something lighter and more suited for insane speeds.

I dont know if its a good idae to kick hot lipos accross the street like that.
Were you warming the tires in the 1st vid or is it that hard to steer? 65 in the Jato is hard to control and 50 in the tc3's are almost impossible.

The lipos weren't hot at all. These speed runs so far have not even begun to tax the electronics.
yeah driving a savage at 90mph is no easy feat say the least but man the sound it makes is unreal

100 here we come! Clocked my Flux 2350 at 45:
2 Gens Ace 50C 2S batteries
Hobby Wing WPSC8 (worked great, trashed it by being stupid. Mamba Monster 2 is waiting to be installed when I get back from college =P)
Other than that, I just dropped the suspension. RPM skidplate probably helped with aerodynamics, but not much at this speed.
This run was done in 4wd, I tried again in 2wd but got slower results because the free tires ballooned and caused extra friction and wobble.

The thread is titled 100mph? It's about the build and the goal of exceeding 100mph. He's done a pretty good job documenting his success and failure (whipeout). Why do you need to try and put him down??

Should read 100.000 dollar 100 MPH attempt , how much did the last crash cost you if you count you rebuild time and parts ,but what ever the cost it's what we do and enjoy at any cost. But keep at it LL you'll get there or get a empty wallet lol

Lol I guess so, but I don't have to **** on everybody's builds like you. My trucks run.
So what's the name for a pathetic, jealous guy who spent a ton of money to make Robin look bad, but couldn't pull it off.
I know LOSER lmao
