I have a new VVRC 20 Gas... It does run great and was easy to start first time around.... But I need a Prop Nut/Spinner for this VVFRC 20 and I can not find one in the correct size.... M8 X .75 ...... Any suggestions? Thanks.... Richard

I asked Tom Denny (owner of VVRC) about this. He told me he would send me a replacement nut/spinner if I should need it. I'm not clear if there would be a charge or not. I complained about the odd size and he said he would have the size changed to 8mm x 1.00 on the next batch of engines coming from China. I don't think that has happened yet. Just call VVRC and ask.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines
My VVRC came with the prop nut. If you don't like it for some reason you can order one from Tru-Turn. They may not have them on their website but can get you one if you call.
I had my VVRC20 out today for the maiden. Honestly, I was a little disappointed of how off the needles were. On a 17x6 she turned only 5k RPM out of the box. Once I leaned out the high end and richened up the low end she was turning around 7500RPM. Still need to get the burble out of this engine but and leaving it a little rich as she breaks in.
We had an OS 22 out at the field today too. GREAT running little engine. A little heavier (like 4 oz) but man did that little 22 sound good (way quieter than the VVRC 20) but the muffler did fall off after a flight!
Best of luck!

Kerwin, By your own reference: Engine, a device that converts thermal energy to do work. Lectrics can't do that! So it seems that"motor" is a generic term encompasing everything from rubber bands to spacecraft. Gasoline engine is specific to the fuel source.

Yes, my 20 CC VVRC did also but what I am looking for is a Prop Nut Hub used when starting with electric starter... Tru Turn does not carry the M8 X .75 but they will custom make one for me .... Nice to know.... I understand the VVRC will have their next order of these engines from the factory with M8 X 1.0 which is more common and easy to find.... Thanks for your reply....

Really hope this is a good running engine (easy cranking, and good idling.) They shipped it out today, so maybe the pony will be arriving soon.

OK, enough already about motor vs engine. This is suppose to be a thread about Valley View engines. Please take your motor engine debate to some other place !!!!!

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines
Is the muffler that comes with the VV RC 20 engine one that would be used for a side mounted airplane such as a profile or for a inverted spark plug straight down engine?

We will be giving away a new VV 20 on a pilots drawing at our fly in in July 11/14th.
Thanks to VV RC.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines
I have a few questions,
1 what is the voltage requirement for the 20 cc engine?
2 I usually use metal gear servos on gas, is it necessary for these smaller ones?
What type of pro data are you getting on a 17/6
Thanks
Ed
