Default Are these better?

Hey guys,

After fiddling around with my T-Maxx, I wondered if these spare Servo's are better. They are Futaba S3003 from another truck.

I don't know the specs on them but I have thought about switching out my steering servo to see if its better.

My truck is a T-Maxx 2.5 Model 4910.

those are plain jane servos.
I dont think they are any better than the stock 2055s
grab some 2075s
or a set of mg996r's (my fav for low priced, high torque servos)

I ran a Futaba 3003(or was it the 3004 same thing either way) in a 1/12th scale truggy
The servo lasted 2 minutes before it stripped
The truggy probably weighs 1/2 of what the maxx does so think about how long they would last .

Just looked up the specs. The Traxxas servos are better.

The s3003 servos are for low torque situations. I run a S3010 in my 1/8 buggy, which it has 90oz/in. of torque, which really isn't enough on paper, but it handles fine for now.

S3003's are great long lasting reliable servo's when used properly, we use them alot on mid sized planes and you can use them for throttle but they are way too weak for steering on a t-maxx.

Thanks guys, yeah I just wanted to see what I could do with these spare servos. Looks like I'll save em for a kit or something.
