Default Gear Ratio For Sand?

Been out of cars a while, what would be a good pi/spur for my stock bandit with 2.2 paddles? Just looking to scoot as fast as possible at the beach without frying the stock motor and esc. Don't want to do a BL yet, and I like the waterproof idea around the lake

id drop down 2 teeth on the pinion gear. that should be enough to compensate for the larger tires.

Thanks, I did a 16/86 set-up and it seems to run very cool and scoots across the sand pretty good, nice little rooster tail, I'll probably put a big Castle system in it with a 3 cell in it eventually, these Traxxas trannys can handle it for crazy power, but for now I'm pretty happy with the performance of the little thing as is.

16/86 sounds like a pretty good place to start for the titan system...if it ran cool you could try another 2 teeth but if it runs good it runs good ya know. sounds like it ran good. im running 13/54 on my rustler when I go to florida next week. Hopefully picking up a 15t pinion as well because my $60 turnigy stuff isnt worth crying over if it gets hot. I just want to see it pull 45+ on the sand. but I run 32p gearing on a 3000kv motor.

They are fun in the sand with the paddles, last one I set up was a nitro, and things get pretty dirty and grindy, the electrics seem better suited for this.
