Texas Republic Classic June 29 & 30 2013
For all pattern lovers, District VI, June 29 & 30, the Georgetown “Texas Republic Classic” is just three weeks away. Our field is in excellent condition, the wheat has been cut. We are hoping for a big turnout since half the proceeds of this event will be donated to the US Pattern Team. The field will be open all day Thursday and Friday for practice. Campers and pop-ups are welcome no hookups available.
We need to know how many contestants and friends will be attending so we will have enough food and drink available for everyone. Either post here or e-mail Rene Grebe at [email protected] to let us know if you are coming. For map information go to www.gamarc.org .
Contest Directors are Chuck Hochholter and Rene Grebe
Bob Petrinec, GAMA V.P. and event agitator.

I'm attaching a PDF file with some information about the GAMA Pattern contest with some hotels/motels phone numbers.
Hope to see all of you on this our last contest before the Nats.

Thank you guys for answering to our call.
Just checked the weather forecast: Friday, 97 degress, wind less than 5MPH, Saturday, 97 degress, wind 10-15 from the South and same for Sunday, so looks like a good weather contest.
See you on the 28th for practice.
Rene

Man it was hot Saturday, Therometer read 108, but they had a good turnout, Chuck did an excellent job of running the contest and all had a really good time. A front came thru Saturday night and it was rather nice on Sunday, only 96. I know I had a great time, thanks Rene, please let the clubs members know we really enjoyed the fellowship. Look forward to next year.

Thank you, Monte and all the brave pilots that faced the heat challenge.
Hope to see most of you at the Nats.
Good flights to everyone.

I want to thank everyone at this event for making my first pattern contest a little less crazy than it could have been. Big thanks to Rene, who called for me and gave constructive help throughout the weekend. I placed third in Sportsman flying my Hobby King Airoso, and owe much of that to Rene. I will be back!
