A new low from Hobby King
Have any of you guys seen the 'new' pilots from HK? Am I the only one offended?
Is this really how we want to portray ourselves and our hobby? On Facebook, 500+ likes. That to me is very, very sad.
Its bad enough when folks have such intolerance that they instantly give the single finger salute on the roads, but now in the skies via models? Truly a sad day in my opinion when something like that is so grossly popular.
I'd post the photo if I didnt feel it so offensive... so you are on your own to find it and comment.
Hobby King Facebook page has it.

Unfortunately the rules of RCU won't allow me to post a picture of these pilots, which is sad because I agree with you on this one. Like he said, go to Hobby King's Facebook page and look in their photo section. Basically they have two pilot bust figures that are giving a "middle finger salute". While I think this is a new low for any RC company, I realize that many people will think they are "cool" and rush to put them in their planes.

So what that also means, is that any photos of models, with these pilots is also a violation of RCU's rules..... take that into consideration fellows.

Well, now I feel kind of foolish, that I waisted 5 min. of my life searching for the pics. Curiosity won out. Kind of sad really, but I'll bet they will be a big seller.

There are many worse things out there to be offended about, but this is contrary to everything the RC hobby stands for. We tout ourselves as responsible and family friendly, then support junk like this?

Old order being redefined by the new order. RC is becoming a consumer product from a hobby. All about money; the people who care like me are becoming a minority.

Struck me as funny but I don't see myself as ever needing to do that to anyone these days. I wouldn't use one of those anymore then installing some stupid looking doll or cartoon character in one of my planes. I work too hard building them to cheapen one.

Proposal to cure this rude lady: whip out your hot air gun and bend her finger over. Else just amputate her arm. Otherwise email our objections to HK and don't buy this specific pilot, let her sales figure look bad. Nothing speaks like money as someone else already implied here.

Huh, that wasn't the one I found. The obviously have more than one pilot figure with a single finger salute. The one I found was called Major Bird. Either way, it major bites.
I just can't imagine putting such a thing in one of my pride and joy's. But then again, it takes all kinds and I'm sure I know folks who would love to have one.
