Hello, I'm in the market for a GS P-51 arc wing. If you have one or know we're I can get one I would appreciate it. Last resort will be to get the arf wing which I'm trying to avoid. Thanks

The only section on the mustang that is filled with Bondo is the leading edge near the wing root. Some wing sections were primed with zinc-chromate yellow filler then painted silver resulting (in some airplanes)that a slight rivets indentation was still visible. I am finishing my model as "Lil' Margaret', the wing was painted but doesn't seems to be filled, also instead of polishing the plane I give it a dull look.
After applying the rivets on my wing I sanded with 220 grids to reduce the effect, once painted with automotive silver I'm looking to get the same effect.
The inner and outer gear doors are from aerotech, BVM cylinders.

there have been some issues with the giant scale TF corsair and some deadplay at high speeds.

It's a moot point since you are duplicating a restored airplane Bruno but a vast amount of the Mustang's wing was filled at the factory. I doubt that most restored aircraft duplicate this feature. Here is a diagram from Aj-Press showing the process.
Blue areas - two layers filler polished for a smooth surface and then painted.
Green areas - one layer of filler polished for a smooth surface and then painted.
Yellow areas - silver paint (on bare metal aircraft of course)
White areas - bare metal

You are correct Chad, I have seen this reference as well. I would assume that any gain of speed is an advantage especially when you have someone doing the shooting on your tail. I read sometime ago that a mile or two an hour could make the difference in a dog-fight.

Tony,
I use the stock setup to actuate my elevator with an exception is that I added an extra support for the rod sleeves. The best way is to test by pushing your elevator against the control while holding the servo arm still, if the elevator move then you need to add some support for the control rod.
Central Hobbies sells some nice Carbon fiber rods with titanium ends, those are my favorite to use on elevator control.

Bruno you got to leave it to Chad, if you do something wrong he will let you know and he is always right. One thing is for sure, your rivets are a eye popper and guys will drool all over it so don't let anyone get too close. Ha,ha I did it to mine and it draws a lot of attention, you went a bit further with your rivets and they look great, very nice job indeed.

I finished applying the aluminum tape and added more details especially for the fuselage panel by the trailing edge wing's root.
I built up the panel then finished with aluminum tape and some #80 screws.
For the ailerons, flaps, and elevators I made some control horns out of G10, painted then silver. The connection to the servos are 4-40 ball links.
Few more small hatch details then rivets and paint, until then I cut the Star&Bar fuselage mask.

I am getting ready to build this airplane, and wanted to ask you all a question.
i have a Zenoah G38 EI and a Saito FG 36 4 stroke engine. will either of these engines do this airplane justice?
i would like for it to be a speed demon of sorts.
both engines will spin an 18 x 8 prop at about 7300 rpm or so.
