Spektrum tm1000 and marine receiver mr3000
After some help please guys.I have a spektrum marine receiver mr3000 with the telemetery module tm1000,linked to a dx8,which worked ok with rpm, temp, batt voltage.I have now converted the boat to the new spektrum dx4s.I have bound the boat no problem, but cannot get the telemetry module to bind to the radio.Do I need the receiver/telemetry all in one for it to work,ie the sr3300t.
Any help much appreciated.

The TM1000 only works with the aircraft radios using aircraft or marine modes. It does not work with the pistol-grip radios.
You need to make sure the DX4s works with the SR3300T. I'm not positive it does.

Is it possible to use the sr3300t receiver to then be able use the telemetry function?Only concern is that the aerial is very short as opposed to the marine mr3300 aerial. Its being used in a large gas mono 56"race boat, and do not want to risk it losing bind whilst running.

Just tried binding the SR3300T to the DX4s and bound no problem and with telemetry working fine.Is it ok to run that in a gas boat?

The "S" in SR3300T means "surface" which for Spektrum is the dirt. Use SR receivers in cars, not boats.
The "M" is for Marine. We made it special for boats. It works much better on the water than SR.
You want to use the MR3000 and TM1000 with your DX8 in a boat.

Thank Andy.I already use the mr3000 with a dx8.It was more of changing the race boat to the dx4s with the function of telemtry it provided. Is there going to be telemetry unit that can be used in boats for the dx4s?

Ok thankyou Andy.Appreciate you taking the time to respond to my questions.I do hope a dedicated telemetry option for boats is considered, really does help with temp of engine/water cooling,RPM etc.Offshore racing here in the U.K is pretty popular and doing very well. Many people have mentioned about this feature on boats.
