No need to thank me Thomas. I was happy to be of help. My job is made so much easier when planes are built and set up as well as your one. It really was a pleasure to fly, right from the first take off. I hope it gives you many, many enjoyable flights.
Regards Al

Well, the hatch is finally complete minus a couple small tweaks here and there. I will be offering a kit for those of you interested, it will include wood and hardware required to install it as shown...

Hi Guys

I received the painted cockpit kit last week and after checking it, I have to say that it is very nicely painted and would look great once it is assembled with care.

Has anyone considered electrifying the landing gear on this jet? What options are out there to do so?
I'm at a point were I need to decide whether I go pneumatic or convert to electric.

Just as a heads up I have two complete sets of 'Electro-brakes' for the CARF Hawk, these are a special custom made 'semi-scale' version so they look almost like the full size in appearance and fit the scale gear set only (not sport version!).

These are the last two I have and if anyone fancies electric brakes for this bird (along with the ECU to control them) then PM me and we can discuss.

It looks like the wood lever is still visible when the hatch is on. I would cut it back so you can't see it.

Hi guys
Has anyone balanced the stabs on this model? Required? If you have then how much weight did you end up using per stab side.

I just finished up the support jigs. The aircraft can be supported/transported as a whole or with the fuselage split.

Hi Guys, I know Colin had mentioned that we have to cut 18MM from the pipe to fit correctly. Is this still the case? I would be using a P180RX and would appreciate the input.

Thanks

Great looking Chris....

Now if only you'd come up with the same support jigs for it's 'big brother' the original Skygate 1:3.75 version I'd be all over a set

Hmmmm that's interesting because according to this website the CARF is 1:5

http://tailormadedecals.com/xtc2/ind...09707360bdcfd1

I'll measure my fuse length tonight but I do believe it's well over 85", the length of the CARF Skygate Hawk

You are looking at the little one. On CARF page, you need to look under Skygate section and then Hawk. the Fuse is I think 116" or something like that.
