No, because it is in a National Park. There is a KOA in the area though.

Can't believe that Pocono is less than 2 weeks away! Joe, I'll be there to fly and assist you, Ed and the gang with whatever. Thanks for maintaining this PA contest for so many years!

Joe, I seem to recall that there was a similar situation last year that ended up with a pretty good turnout.
In any event, I have hotel reservations and kennel reserved for the dog, and at the very least I hope to stay and fly there Fri, Sat (and maybe Sunday) with you and your clubmates if that is okay. Would really appreciate it if you'd call/coach for me!!

Bob, I'm not counting on getting as lucky as last year. Not knowing roughly how many are coming makes it difficult to plan. As it stands right now, we can't afford the luxury of having a second portajon. At this moment, I think I have only 9 pre-registered.

Hialeah field looks good too! I took a scenic drive up there this afternoon and made 3 flights to get reacquainted with the environs. Only stayed an hour, but felt right at home again by 5p. Will be back on Friday for some serious practice (LOL) and to help Joe get things set-up. The mountains, the river, the breeze and the shade; it really is a beautiful and special place for a pattern contest! I am really looking forward to my 3rd Pocono!

Anyone who plans on practicing on Friday, please call the park at 570-426-2452. You may get a recording. Leave a message and they should call back. The road accessing the field has been closed this week until 4PM due to paving. The last message I got from one of the club officers was that you should have access for practice on Friday. But to be safe check with the number above for status of access to River Road. I have already left a message for them to call me in the morning regarding access. You can call me at 908-507-6909. Hopefully I will have info regarding access early tomorrow morning. We should definitely have access after 4PM no matter what.

Thanks Joe and Ed for a well run contest, although a little too hot

Mega Dittoes on the thanks for all the effort of Joe, Ed and also Bob for running the score sheets, and the generous RAMAC members for the use of their beautiful field.
Joe, thanks, too, for e-mailing the score sheets with all the raw scores and analytics. Very sobering and very helpful. Scott Smith has done a SUPERB job developing that program for us!

+1 on the thank you to Joe Lachowski, Ed Alt, and the members of RAMAC for another Pocono. Well done guys!
A big thank you to whoever donated the F3A Unlimited gift certificates for the contest: always much appreciated!
Finally, thank you to all the pilots / judges for the terrific feedback this weekend: I learned a few new things and know where to work to improve.
Hope to see you soon at Lehigh Valley's CPA + NSRCA pattern conteston July 13-14. Sounds like it could be quite a reunion and a lot of fun.

Joe: great job on organizing the event..... everthing went very smooth. Putting Ed in charge of the flight line helped move things along.
Thanks to the guys in the chair, enduring the sun to judge
Thanks to the club for the use of their great facility, again. The field was well groomed and ready for us.
hope you take on the challenge to be CD next year
