Default I went to a general Auction and found this

Hi there I went to a general Auction and in my lot that i bought i found this Vintage Gas r/c Speedboat
and thought i would try and find out something about it including its value?
i will try and upload some pics as this would help
I have no history but its well made?

Can't help you with much except to say that the motor is diesel and not petrol. I would guess that the value may be in the old motor rather than the model as a whole. Any markings on the engine?

That's a diesel motor?? Wow did'nt even know they made them that long ago?
I will look today to see if there is any markings on it...

yep def a diesel motor possibly an old enya or Irvine motor bit hard to say need to see if its got any markings on the side, I don't even know if the make the fuel anymore

When I flew control line in the early 70's my buddy flew a diesel, their fun, needs no battery to start.

Diesel fuel is for memory, about but please check first 73% either 20% castor oil or similar and 7% Amal nitrate. Use to mix a lot of it back in the late 70s not 100% sure of the exact quantise of each ingredient. Love the smell of burnt model diesel.

Nice boat! Old post I must have missed. Your boat is somewhat like mine in hull style. Mine is 12V electric powered. I got it about 7yrs ago and take her out once in a while when I want go go really slow! HA! Brian
