Default Hobby Barn Arrow Manual

Hi guys,

I need to find the building manual for a Hobby Barn Arrow. Someone has pictures of the manual in a post somewhere, but I can't find it now. I should have book marked it. I need to know exactly where the CG is. These things were never any fun when tail heavy.

Wayne,

If you can't locate the manual (although an original Arrow plan should suffice), you can use the 30% MAC rule for the CG. With trike gear installations, the CG is usually within an inch (sometimes as little as 1/4") foreword of the strut line. But this doesn't help much with your conventional setup.

Wayne,

I have the orginal Hobby Barn manuals for the Super Arrow and the Arrow 800.

The Arrow 800 manual shows the CG 6" back from the leading edge.

The Super Arrow manual shows the CG 5.5" back from the leading edge.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys,

That helps a lot. Leo, can you tell me what the manual says for elevator and aileron throws? You would think I could remember this stuff. It has only been about 28 years.

Wayne,

I reviewed both the manuals and plans for the Supper Arrow and Arrow 800. I could not find any data regarding elevator or aileron throws.

No not really, the Arrow 800 uses a completely different fuse.
It’s basically a FG version of Wolfgang Matt’s Granat.
I recently had some correspondence withWolfgang and was able to get a copy of his plans which matches the Basic outline of the Arrow 800 fuse; I have yet to confirm the airfoils and or wing dimensions though.

Hey Paul,

So how about some teaser pics or better yet post the plans of the Granat plan you got from Wolfgang. I sure would like to get a copy of it. Willing to split the cost with you for a copy.

What do say.? Can we get some comparison pics against the Arrow 800 or maybe the orignal Atlas 60?

Bryan, what’s up Bud!
I’m still knee deep in the remodel of the new place.
What was supposed to take 30 days has taken 90 days and counting.
Teaser pics? Here’s one . . . .

Edit
I guess not on this site tonight, Oh well.
