Default Shaft on eMotor?

I bought an electric motor for my electric ARF. I figured out the prop goes onto the rear of the outrunner, but the other end has a long shaft. Do I cut this off with a hacksaw or fit it though a hole in the firewall?

Don't cut it. You may need yo use a prop adapter in the future and that is where it installs.
