Frank, the weather looks good for this weekend to fly it, if you have it ready?

Frank

That looks awesome. Can't wait to see it in person. I might just have to take a ride over to your place.

Great looking scheme. The 555th "Triple Nickel" out of Luke AFB in Arizona used to fly the F-15A Eagle and transitioned into the F-16 before the F-15E came online.

A FEJ rep advised me against this plane because he felt the airframe is too weak to flown like the full scale plane. I hope you're able to strengthen your model so you can have some fun with it.

Next week when I start on it, I have a list of mods I am going to do when I build it. Plus, I have someone who has built 2 of these that is going to give me some pointers!

Finally got to do some work on my F15. First thing I did was remove the HC rear intake bulkhead and replaced it with 3/16" ply. also laminated 3/16" plywood to the HC front bulkhead former (right behind were nose bolts onto fuse).

Another are to strengthen that I am working on is the main landing gear. Watching what others have done, I am adding vertical 1/4" plywood to top of the landing gear plates. They will be tied into the bulks front and back of the landing gear plates. When this is done I am going to laminate 3/16" plywood to back side of the HC bulkhead (were LG plates are glued to)
