Default Kingtech

It seems Aeroshell 500 oil is not good for the Kingtech turbines. I sent my 140 turbine back to Dirk (Kingtech service) because it would not spin up when starting; it acted like the bearings were gummy. Dirk got the turbine took it apart found the rear bearing was sticking and gave me a call. They repaired the turbine under warranty and instructed me to stay away from Aeroshell 500 oil. The total down time was about 2 weeks including shipping time. I had the turbine out this Tues and it worked great. It was hot out, about 10,000 ft density alt. The turbine spooled up fast and was a powerhouse as always.
Thanks Dirk and Berry for the great after sale service. George
