Presumably, both parties voluntarily accepted the risk, so I don't see that there is any issue to be made of this incident.


The point is that, "I didn't do it.", and I refuse to be held accountable for the actions of others.

This why field safety rules exist, much to the chagrin of morons. Where I fly, no one is allowed on the runway unless they are recovering a dead airplane. And it's understood that no one may takeoff or land when they do.

Pretty apparent that's not an official flying site, so safety rules likely don't apply, common sense rules should. But as we all know common sense it the least common sense of all.

Not sure which is dumber, that the accident happened in the first place or that the dope thought it was a good idea to incriminate himself by sharring his stupidity with the world. Assuming the kid was his son, I wouldn't want to be going home to explain to mom what happened. That dude probably had a few nights on the couch.

Both people involved made a poor choice.  My guess is that they expected the plane to be airborn much more quickly.  Luckly it was not.  Fortunately those injuries look recoverable.   

It looks like the guy that was hit was holding a camera.  Am I a bad person for wanting to see the video from the guy that was struck?   Either way I will sit in the corner and hang my head in shame for that thought...

All I can say is WOW.   What an idiot.  His beginner skill level required him to stand behind plane to take off, and he still risked the safety of his son/helpers well being and lost big time.  

Fly em in the air, like you just don't care!

A+++, No body should be standing on the runway, pilot or spectator. Two very stupid moves by both. Ya can't fix Stupid., but ya can talk to them., If they listen? Not the way things are done.

Well we know they are out there, one of the guys that flys at our field was flying alone, and a kid about 15 was standing with his dog in the middle of the runway when he went to land. Had to pull up to keep from hitting him and his dog, total lost of the plane! No idea he was there till it happed"

it is very obvious the kid wasnt on the runway but way to close to it. the plane veres left, right at him and he runs twards the runway to get away from it. then at the last second the plane lurches right and hits him. anyway,,,no one should be where the plane could hit him !!!
