Default COWL TO ENGINE CLEARANCE???

I need a little help here, how close can a fiber glass cowl be to the rocker box covers on a Saito 150 with out burning the fiberglass
?????? thanx MAX

practiaclly touching, no real heat there, I try and maintain 1/8" all around, exhaust included, never had an issue

The valve cover does not get hot enough to damage the fiberglass. The only damage you can get by being too close would be chaffing. If it were a gasser it may be another story but your Saito valve cover should never see more then 150-175 degrees. Epoxy/fiberglass layups are commonly cured at a higher temp then that.
