It would make her length about 47 inches correct?

Looks like an enlarged Tamiya with a bit more detail. I'm almost surprised it came with four three bladed props

It's there. Took me a little bit to find it. Just have to pay real close attention to the wording because there isn't a very good picture.

Why would you want to solder pot metal?

Most pot metal has zinc as the primary component. The zinc melts at such a low temperature the it will puddle before you can solder it. 99% of the time you end up with a melted, ruined part.

I would recommend the 24 Hr J.B. Weld you can pick up a small package of it at most any hardware store. Lightly sand the part a little epoxy and you're good to go.

Look here for more info about pot metal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pot_metal

soder holds better. but looks like i will use jb weld this time around. you would think if your advert said brass props that is what you would get. not pot metal??!! [>:] but then again. the cheaper you can make it the more coins you put in your SILK PURSE[:-] an usa guys going to make stuff for this kit??? I would pay more to get better stuff.

hi guy's
nothing done yet. I am waiting on the wood decks and detail kit from artwox. I also bought nsr 2mm axle spacers for my shaft bearings. I just glue them into the tubeing. once I get going I will post. I have two gas boat builds going. both will be done very soon.

Just curious, does anyone have any reference on the colors of the interior of the Bismark? My kit came with the bonus turret and barbette, some parts molded in clear plastic to be able to see what the turret and supporting structers looked like. I'm just curious what colors I should use to paint the interior. I suppose the walls would be a white or light pea green color. The floors, not sure. Of the US ships I have toured, they have been a red or black and white squared linoleum tile. Not sure if any pics of the turret interior exsist so any experts out there, I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Craig,
Thanks for the link, an while I didn't think of doing a build thread ( figured one would have been done already ) I have no probs sharing my build. So Look forward. I think I remember reading that you plan on having the turrets turn, care to share that info with me. I'm a bit new to todays RC boating. I built a Linberg Blue Devile Destroyer and a Robbe PT boat back in the late 80's. This is my return, so all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Jim

Anything more on the different Bismarck builds. Due to some health issues, Had to put mine on the back burner, but wanting to get going. Really interested if anyone knows of a good RC build thread. Thanks again.
