RE: W.V. RC PATTERN CHAMPIONSHIPS
I went down this past Saturday to check out the field and help Mark Radcliff set up the box lines and this is a GREAT place to fly! Very smooth runway and they have electricity always a plus. Hope to see all of the regular Pattern people this weekend.

I want to thank Bill Kutchell and Scott McNickle for taking time out of their busy lives to come down and help us lay out the field for our pattern contest this weekend. I hope we have a nice turn out. The club, The Flying Wing Nutz of St. Marys, is very excited to host this event. We plan on having a great time. Lunch provided Saturday & Sunday. Beautiful field to fly from. Ideal for pattern. Looking forward to seeing all my pattern friends and hopefully some new blood.

Patti and I are heading to Florida for a little R&R so I won't be able to make it this year.
Hope the weather is as good as it looks in Bill's picture.
Don't have too much fun with out me.
See you all at St. Clairsville
Thanks

Thanks to Mark and the rest of the Flying Wing Nutz for a fun contest. The field was great and the support of the membership was first rate.
Lunch was really impressive! Burgers, dogs, brats, baked beans, chicken and noodles, macaroni salad and fresh corn on the cob, locally grown.
If you missed this one be sure to put it on your schedule for next year. It's only a little farther than St Clairsville for most of you and all those stories you hear about West Virginia are (mostly) made up!

RE: W.V. RC PATTERN CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 1st WVRC Pattern Championships is in the books. The weather was beautiful Saturday with light & variable winds. The attendance was light so it was decided by all the pilots to fly 5 rounds on Saturday and call it a contest. It was a wise decision because it rained most all day Sunday in St. Marys. Attached is a PDF of the final results. For our first event I believe it was a success.Everyone had a great time and if you talk to them they will tell you how nice the field is, how great the food was (fresh corn on the cobb) and new friends they made from the event. The Wing Nutz club is looking forward already to next years event. We hope to see everyone next year and many more of the pattern community. Thanks again everyone.Mark
