What a wonderful time Bob, when I grow up I wanna be retired just like you!

Now I expect you to hit the tank hobby hard, no excuses!

(Like you don't already)
Hmmm. I ready didn't think that I was hitting it hard. I was just having fun and getting guys involved with the hobby. I do want to do more, finish some l-o-n-g term projects and promote the hobby at some new venues. There are some great guys our there looking for a rewarding hobby. I'd like to come down for a SEAD battle day too. Thanks Eric.

I would have to combine it with a Kublinka retour and a RC tank event.
We can deffinitely arrange Kubinka-Museum + RCBattles... just advise in advance...

My most sincere and totally envious CONGRATULATIONS for a job well done. I can think of no one who deserves to have the good life as you. Loving Father, Loving Husband. True FRIEND. You've done so much. When I grow up ...( if ever) ... I want to be just like you. I hope to see you all again real soon.

Jimmy,
You leave me speechless....and that is not easy. What can I say. I know you cherish the same old fashioned family values that I hold so dear. The girls and I really miss you and we must get together soon. Please promise me you will make the September battle days at Danville. Thanks so very much for the comments. You friendship is one of the motivating forces that compels me to drive the thousand miles for each trip to Danville.

Bob

More like 'I will be waiting for you pal on the park bench with a Tx, driving a Panther over some pigeons.'

I have always been a "Wing Shooter". It is much more sporting to shoot them in the air. I have always enjoyed airsoft, but I wish the tanks were more accurate.

Enjoy the 3 day weekends Jimmy. I worked 12 hours shifts (Pitman Schedule) had Friday to Sunday off every other weekend. But the following week ...it was a minimum of 60 hours and I had to work Friday to Sunday. Have a safe, happy and healthy summer.

Thank you Jrowe,

We are having a great week of fishing here in New Hampshire. It has been fantastic. My buddy AL cough a nice one and we had a 3+ pound smallie yesterday and it took my other buddies son about 8 minutes to land him on 6lb test line.....it jumped about 4 times.

Thanks you Gene. I hope to come down and battle with the Texas Armored Div again. Willy, Dana, Herman and I have all made it to Monaville, Texas. Now you have to come up to Danville in November for the NEAD event. It will be cooler than Texas. Please tell Mike, Tomas and all the gang I said "Howdy".

OMG, Jimmy I forgot I even had that shirt....LOL. I've never been dull but a wild man? I don't know about that pal. Do you still have that blonde wig?

I hope you come to the September event buddy. It had been too long, many moons, since we have had the "pleasure of your company".

Who is Buck Wild here now? Either you are "turtle heading" or have bad gas?

Well...it has been two months now since my retirement and my first pension check came in the mail yesterday. Now I feel old. Since I now have some time on my hands to finish my "long-term" projects and commissioned builds, I needed a larger vehicle to haul the tanks and radios around. I have rung up over 175,000 miles on each of the two Chevy Tahoes running to Aberdeen PG, VMVA events, Danville "Play-dates" AKA Battle-days for 4 or 5 times a year for 7 years, US tank museums from New Hampshire to Kentucky, NEAD events in 5 states, and even up to Canada to to play in the Can-AM RC Tank Clubs toy-box (A MUST... if you can go).

I have loved the Tahoes...but they are a bit too small. Or I bring too much?
1915347[/IMG]

I recently bought myself a retirement gift of a Chevy Suburban. I have had 4 of them before and they haul and tow anything. I have been looking for 2 years and it is better than I dreamed.

I agree Bob. Your passion for the hobby exceeds your carrying capacity.

I'm thinking more in the lines of a Military Transporter? That way, lots of room and capacity and the last minute troops to carry to Danville and the best of all is, you'll never let weather get in your way.

Glad to hear you're enjoying retirement buddy. You earned it.
