MAN!!! I was pretty sure this time the strips were dry, rubbed them, wiped with napkins, and even squeezed real hard. But by the time they are taking and the amount of moisture on the edges they apparently were no where near dry. I should have done them with the heat method.

Do trailers need to be insured? That is awesome Robert! I can see it now, the custom folding awning for shade, the folding chairs, the cooler

Look's great Ken, I especially like the access panel. Here is the start of the fuse. The book shows one way of building the fuse and the cd shows another, order of sequinces. So I am going to split the difference and build it my way.

After gluing those 7 formers I went and did some yard work. And now I have dry fitted about as much as I can. I have a dinner date tonight and tomorrow is field mow day so gluing will have to wait. Definitely don't want to be in a hurry gluing all this together.

Thank's Shane. I just dry assembled the engine mount box, "ARE THEY KIDDING"? I mean, the box is built with 1/8" light ply on the four outer sides and a 1/4" ply face. Not happening here I can tell ya. I will pick up some 1/4" and make my own. And this thing has serious right and down thrust, scale is "0".

Thank's Ken. How do you like it's flying with the right and down thrust they have built in?

You seen the vid right? Haha. Anyway, I felt it could use a little right but absolutely no down. Already climbs a tad inverted. They've been building these in Europe for years and years and they seem to have it figured out anyway. This is the only company I would ever buy a giant Pitts like this from. Truly incredible!

Ok Ken, I'll follow your advice and leave it be. But I'm not to sure I'll like the 3 degrees of right thrust this box has built in. But as you said, yours flies great in your video!!!

A lot of pilots have a problem with there left thumb and need the right thrust, mostly for hitting full throttle while sitting still. I like to fly scale and don't have issue with the left thumb, too much anyway. So I will remove the right thrust. Thank's for your help Ken!!!!

LOL! I got ya. Don't worry. I built the little one with zero/zero and it flies superb so I have no doubt this one will as well. And I already cut it square.

Hi, been watching your builds since the first pitts. Just thinking on the squaring of the motor box, a lot of times the cowl is made with the right thrust built into the spinner gap. Don't know about this one. I'm building a 50% G&L pitts. Nothing scale, just sport flying . Otherwise, your builds look great, entertaining, and informative. thanks for sharing

a.l.o., the cowl is squared, so it's good. Glad to have you aboard and thank's. As for entertaining, well, that's just a by product. I enjoy the conversing and having other people add there two cent's. Especially being as my two cents have gotten dull and worn. Dinner date with the wife was real nice, we don't get much time to ourselves.

Well I was going to do some adhering but I am indecisive as to whether wood glue would be better than epoxy. It is all wood but generally with ply I would use epoxy. But most epoxies, at least the ones I use, say to not use for very tight joints. They claim there need's to be room for the epoxy. And all of the joints on this one are very tight. So I am thinking wood glue would be best. Hmmm! Any thought's on the matter?
