Have you tried binding it without the satellite attached?  If not, I would start there, just to see what results you get.

I already tried that too. Made sure all batteries were charged.

a couple of things I have had to do.

make sure you are not near a metal table, or in a metal building.

make sure you are not near another 2.4 source, like a wifi, micro wave, wireless phone, etc.

move away from the receiver about 4 feet when trying to link.

move to another room, or take all outside and try

just some things I have had to do

Steve may have it, a lot of folks have reported binding problems when standing too close.  Have you tried binding from across the room?  I've read that the power signal overloads the RX sometimes if you're too close.

If the satellite turns solid it's not a power issue.

So that pretty much leaves, standing too close, or getting a replacement receiver.

I turn off the fluorescent shop lights when I bind also.
I've had a few that have given me trouble. Turn off lights and then Bind no problem.

I've tried all of the above before I posted. I believe I'll have to change the receiver. It does not seem that the satellite should bind and not the receiver if it was good.

Its a separate receiver, if you think of it that way it makes perfect sense.

I had the same trouble when using a 4 cell battery.. I plugged in a 5 cell and the problem went away.. My 4 cell was my bench battery.. Older battery...
