Default JETT 56LX head clearance

The head clearance on my JETT 56 measures out at .031 with an .006 shim. Even at .025 without the shim it seems more than normal. What is the recommended clearance when running 10% nitro? Oil content is 20% (10/10 castor/synthetic). Thanks

Default RE: JETT 56LX head clearance

Hi..
sorry for the extended delay... usually I get email notifications when there are posts here...

The head clearance is correct. The engine is very slightly decompressed... allows it to turn up, saves on glow plugs, and does not affect the rpm. Dub sets them to optimum settings before shipping the engines. And over time this has proven out to work well.

Thanks for the information. Yes, the 56 runs superbly, high and low rpm.
