Beautiful fiberglass and detailing work done so far on this model, once it's done, i'll bet it will as real as it gets in miniature size!, keep it up as i'm watching it from now on as i can use some of your tricks on my models also....

Teresos congratulations!!
It seems like you are a very talented person!!
your idea about the water tank together with my idea
became source of money for some other people!!

This is good!!
The bad think is that they didn't even bother to ask typically if they can use our ideas!!
This would be the minimum of politeness.......

ps: it is really disappointing!!! Not that they got the idea but the fact that they didn't even mention anything!!!!!

Hello pappy,
I just want to let you know that I don't copy your water system for the CL-415.. I work on this system a long time before you buy my kit. I have some drawing to proof that if you want.. By the way, the scoop system are on the plan you got when you buy MY kit....... It's take me so long time before to have the water system available on my website because I don't had the time to work on it at full time, I had to work on other project, and I make more than 5 prototyp before to have the best product. You know, you don't have 1000 way to make this system, especially if you want something scale... So, it's normal that you see something with similarity.... It's the goal of Scale modeling to have the result who look the same as the real model !!

And I'l appreciate if you had contact me directly to ask some explanation before to flame me on the public place.. This is also a minimum of politnesss....

The same way you asked me if you could use my photos to include them in your cd's the same way you could at least inform that you prepare something that looks identical to what me and teresos made!! You could even ask how the system works or even any weak points but instead of this nothing.
The small imprint that you included in the drawings you send me together with the kit they have nothing to do with what you sell on your site.

Your initial design was to create directly the tank in the plane, forming in the internal somehow (wasnt realy clear in the plans) a tank and install (somehow) air cylinders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In what we see now you reformed completely the belly of the plane in order to use a combination of teresos and my idea!!!!!!
Even the idea for removable water tank is George's and mine!!
When i uploaded my water tank construction you could easily comment that it looks like something similar that you are preparing. That is normal between "fellow" modellers.
instead of this nothing.

take a look in your own plan that you have on your site!!! photo 1
and then take a look in the next photo(your tank)!!!!! photo 2
and tell me if you see any similarities with mine !!!! photo 3 & 4
Of course yours is improved and well designed and congratulations for your design.

Anyway the conclusions are for the people that read the thread!!

I am just going to say that it's very bad to use someone's idea without even inform him!!!

Another prove of you using our ideas is the following:

check the date of uploading in the following page:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attac...mentid=2430399
The initial post was in another forum 1 month ago
http://www.aeromodelismos.gr/index.p...,1925.240.html
check also teresos page 17 post 420 http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=8290888
where he started to modify his fuselage and you will see your proposal 7 months before you even think about it in year 2008!!
Thats where you got all your ideas from!!!

My photos are uploaded on 30 March 2009 and the first upload was in February while you was
watching every post i did in www.aeromodelismos.gr and spend many hours as a guest.
now check the dates of the plans of your water system that you have available in your site!!
your design is on the 1st of MAY 2009 .( yes!!!yes!! you are going to tell me that you update the dates of your plans everytime you edit them!!!
Who copy WHO now Martin???????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????

The date on the drawing are the date of the drawing was made, not the 3D modelisation, who was started a lot before... So, it's a fact that we have some feature who look the same.. May be I had to informe you that I also work on the water system in the same time, but I always prefer to not tell too much info on a new product before to be sure if it's work correctly. I think it's normal for all company !

Anyway, I don't understand why you are so frustrated about that. If you think that I use your idea, why your are not happy about that ! Did you think I will become millionnary with that.. Badfully no.. And if you want to keep your idea secret, don't put a lots of pics anywhere on the net !!.. We have only 2 things who are the same, the water tank are removable from the fuselage, and the position of the water door servo. My water door and seal are completly different than yours, and I have a spring who old the door closed, not you. I don't see a lot of way to put a servo to open a door, it's normal that we saw some similarity.... I will not re-design the wheel because it's used by another one..... A lot of customer tell me that is not easy to seal the water tank with epoxy and it's hard to work on this tight area. So, I had the idea to use acrylic to make the water tank and the removable tank come alone from that...

.. And if you want to keep your idea secret, don't put a lots of pics anywhere on the net !!..

You are right about that!!
I see now why the rest of the people build this model don't share knowledge!! It's an Ego thing....
My frustration has nothing to do with copyrights. A simple word from you almost 2 years ago would have been enough.
That would make me very happy. Do you think that confidence would be a problem and i would have betray your secret?
Back then you told me about your work on the project of making the model bigger size and i respected that and i didn't mentioned nothing.

Besides the purpose i spend so many hours to load all those pictures (more than 300) from step by step procedure is to share knowledge
and made me happy when people asked me about problems they think they will had.

Anyway.... A WORD FROM YOU TO ME ABOUT THE SYSTEM WOULD HAVE BEEN ENOUGH! The fact that there are 2 similarities makes it even worst for you so don't really mention it.

Think about something now,
You send me together with the kit all the drawings including the natural size of all the parts on a huge roll of paper.
What if i was thinking like you do (I DON'T!!) and i would CAD them and distribute them for free by changing some few things so it doesn't look completely the same?
That should also made you happy because i used your drawings but i change it to a better design!!!!! Wouldn't it?

Good sunday morning everyone!

It's a long time no-see, no-write, no-build... you name it!

It was a very challenging year anyway, I got married in September with the woman of my life, Elisa, and we moved to the Netherlands soon after.

I'm writing from the pension we're staying in until we find and buy our house in Maastricht, Limburg.

We moved up here because of a job I was interested in from the very beginning of my career: roller-coaster design and manufacturing.

I was very lucky that the job opening I applied for in February led to my employment by Vekoma Rides Manufacturing (Vlodrop), starting on Monday.

I'm pretty sure our life will get a significant boost up here, things are fully functional and you get more than you could ask for.

I'll have much more space available for my projects in the new house and that will bring me back to business by the 2012 spring I hope.

At the time being, I wish everyone a nice autumn and a productive "building season".

Hey Pappy, don't compare apples to oranges! A plan you have bought somewhere you are not allowed to copy because of copyright. Ideas that were invented but not patented and even distributed in public (photos on the web) you can copy. Don't flame around and keep this post clean of your strange mind. Patent your idea. stop. [link=http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html]Copyright FAQ[/link]

This forum is for sharing ideas. Keep sharing your ideas and be happy if people copy it and find it useful. If not, please search another place to post things.

A servo driven hole in a hull to fill/empty a water tank. Hard to imagine how long it would take one to invent such a thing...

Regards,
Mark

From the total idea the only thing you mentioned stared and commented is .........the hole???
Hmmmmm!!!!! Apparently you don't know the complete story (of course i am not intent to unfold it here) and unfortunately that leads
you to wrong conclusions.... Let it be so..... everybody is free to mention and think what ever they want

If i wouldn't have spend some time on the phone and numerous emails with this guy i wouldn't ask for nothing but in this case the minimum of politeness is what i expected.
Apparently you are talking about copyrights and that kind of stuff for which i feel total indifference. Anyway...as i said......... everybody is free to mention and think what ever they want

hole in a hull hehehehehhe good one!!

This is so far away for me so it doesn't matter anymore

have some fresh thing (German kit)......

Long time creaper, first time poster. I was looking at Bernard Dumas's canadair as my next project and am also planning on going all out including the drop the tank. I was wondering if there's a free source design for the plan (water tank/scoop and drop) that i could foward a tip to the creator. I find, in my own opinion, that the one design which is available for purchase is overpriced and is unfortunately to similar to the one displayed here to warrant forking over that much cash over to someone else. I was looking at getting the tank 3D printed seeing as this technology is becoming more and more available and affordable. Also considering getting the gear 3D printed with a resin material for strength and some flex.

Pointers? Ideas? Input?

there is a product out there known by a few names like Quikcast.(available from Freemans) It is a two part liquid polyester, which hardens in 10 minutes, and cures in 8 hours. My suggestion is to make your tanks from 1/16 ply, then pour into the tank, the pre-mixed quikcast, then slosh it around inside the tank and pour it out,all within 5-6 minutes.Let it harden a bit.If you find you missed some areas, mix up some more, and repeat.Gravity can be your friend. What you will end up with is a waterproof, strong, hollow tank, assuming you had made the appropriate removable stoppers in the openings.

Are you reffering to a kit with 80 inch wing span ?
