RE: Eflight Blanik 4.2m with turbine?
I was thinking about a 32 oz tank in mine. I am only interested in 10 min flights but doing aerobatics and less thermaling. That looks to be the size Pablo's has in his and fit in a location on the cg. Looks like a modification to the canopy will be necessary

I was crunching the numbers and 32 did sound a little low. Assuming a 6 - 7 oz per minute avg. burn with no start up tank, then 40 oz would be reasonable in engines from 14 - 18 lbs.
May look at multiple tanks if a 50 oz won't fit.

Dean,
Take a look at Dubro's site as they have released some new tanks up to 100 oz and are really reasonable and come with larger dia tubing/clunk and gas type stopper. Only thing I would have liked to see is for them to come with an Aluminum cap.

Hi all built a Blanik with P60 conversion having flown it many time its well over powered I think the ideal Turbine would be a 44 size Turbine P60 makes the model to heavy but still fly's very good,

Steve
Finally someone is talking some sense, people seem to be suggesting larger and larger engines. How large is your fuel tank? I guess if you used a '44 you would only need 32 oz or 1 litre.

How much lead did you have to put with P60 to balance? I read on some other forum that the Blanik takes 4-5pounds of lead to balance, I'm somehow assuming that it will be less with turbine..
Thank you,
Ivar

Looks good! I like the clean install. By the way guys...carefully examine the metal clevises that come with the kit and be careful when using the smaller diameter threaded rod that is included for the elevator. My rods and clevises did not fit at all. Some were really tight and others were dangerously loose.
Eflight produced a wonderful aircraft but really need to QC the hardware.
