So what does that mean? Cost is under 20 per person. What should I add?

Thx

We don't know 100|% yet Chris. Do not add anything with registration. You can buy tickets once on site. We are hoping it works out to only be 15.00. I should know for sure in the next week.

Here is an update for those coming to Muncie. The banquet will be 20.00 per person and will be held at Kacy J's in Muncie. They are shutting down the place for us on Wednesday evening and you will have a choice of Prime Rib or Chicken, 3 sides, dessert, tea, or soft drink are included in the price. There will be a cash bar on site. Advanced and Intermediate awards will be handed out at the banquet. FAI and Masters flight orders will be drawn at the banquet. The banquet is not mandatory, but no one without a ticket will be allowed in. If you don't want to go, your award will be available after the banquet. FAI unknowns will be the last thing done at the banquet and any FAI pilot not wishing to attend can wait outside and as soon as the banquet is complete, we will give them their unknowns. After last year, when we had many people eat who did not purchase a ticket, this is the only way we could do this. There will be an auction for the US Team at the banquet as well. I know there is a Contra system, a Futaba 14SG and the list could still grow by the time we get to Muncie.

All schedules for pilots and such, including flight orders, judging assignments and such will be available on the NSRCA website later this week. ABSOLUTELY NO packets will be handed out on site until Sunday. The AMA check in area will not be open on Saturday, so you wont be able to check in until Sunday. You can check in anytime up to the pilots meeting at 5:30. A courtesy weigh in will be available at the museum from 12-2 for anyone interested. Once again, this year, every airplane will be weighed at some point after a flight. Also, this year, we do not have a designated practice day, but most like we will have the sites on Sunday at some point during the day. We are going to STRICTLY enforce that pilots practice on sites they will be flying. This means, FAI and Masters can fly on Sites 1 and 3, and Intermediate and Advanced will be flying on Site 4. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. We have had problems with guys not getting to fly on their sites because others are flying there. Usually it is upper class guys flying on Site 4.

Everything is coming together nicely, and we should have a great time.

See everyone in Muncie,

Arch

Thanks Arch.

Last year I think there were guys flying Friday and Saturday - do you know what the chances are of fields being open those few days prior to registration Sunday? I'm trying to plan my one real vacation for the year and wondering if it is worth getting there Thursday evening, or if I should save the extra days off and wait 'til Sunday to get there.

I'm looking forward to a lot of fun this year. I haven't flown a whole lot but the flights I've had have been progressively getting better, some feeling great.

Time to start packing I guess - these things always sneak up on you and I end up scrambling the night before and morning of!

The fields will be open flying as usual in the evenings, however there are no guarantees that you will be able to fly. Even Sunday isn't 100% if other events deal with rain and lose a day or something.

Went to practice for the 2013 Nats and what do you know... I found Jason Shulman, Brett Wickizer and caller Dave Stodart practicing at the field practicing for the 2013 Worlds ! Of course I had to call in sick for my afternoon shift !

If you guys go to the NSRCA site and click on NATS 2013, you can now get your pilot schedules for the week. An update will be coming that has my phone number on them, but the info wont change.

Thanks for posting this. It amazes me how bad the AMA website is and there is no link on there to these scores.
Our club has 4 guys flying in the Nats and it was impossible to find info.

Thanks Again

Joe,
I understand it is posted on the NSRCA website. It just there is no link from the AMA website which is what one would expect.
I just didn't realize there were two separate organizations involved.
Thanks to everyone who is helping out in Muncie

Scott (with support from many others I'm sure) has done an amazing job of posting results each day- literally within minutes of when they were available to him. Great job by the NSRCA!

The ONLY thing AMA is interested in regarding competition is collecting their cut for allowing use of the site. Rather than taking the golden opportunity we modelers present every year with Nats participation and really showcasing the best of the best with media coverage even, what do they really give the participants? Not much.

The flying site is as much ours as it is AMA's. Somehow that little piece has gotten conveniently lost by the polliticians that run the organization anymore............

Cudos to those NSRCA members that did a marvelous job posting scores on the NSRCA site. Simple links accessing scores. Very nice!! Thank you!!!

What did I hear about a judging uncertainty with rolls/snaps in the unknowns?
