Finally... maiden day!!!
My dad brought his fouga to maiden it with us here in northern Cali. Now it is ready for the scale masters next weekend and BITW the weekend after
The plane is just amazing!!!! flew great, and it has a tremendous presence in the air. I'll let my dad chime in with more details

Jack D,
Congratulations and good luck with your Fouga as it is a flying scale masterpriece. Note that Philip won the JWM in Meiringen, CH in the 13.5 kg class and Wim took 2nd place. I closely watched their flights along with several other Fougas, which all flew well.

Congratulations to both Jacks! Really a work of art and an awesome build and great flyer.
The only Fouga I have seen was mothballed at Hollister Muni. It's probably still there. Before this I had never seen one fly.
Good luck at the Masters,
Darren

Thanks to all of you for your kind words.
I have to admit that the maiden was a great and pleasant surprise !!!
Unbelievable flying characteristics ... it is really a pattern airplane.
I never thought that a v-tail airplane could do unlimited knife edges, for instance. Strange aerodynamics !!!
Landings are so slow and controllable, that you can afford to watch and enjoy them
No coupling needed at all. Only a couple of right trim clicks.
Speed brakes and full flaps really slow the airplane down, while maintaining full control at unbelievable slow speed.
In other words, I couldn't be happier as you can tell

Hola Jack,
Congratulations!! A beautiful plane, can't wait to see it at FJ or TG. Since it flies slower than your F-100 you will have more time to engage the IGyro settings. I can help you with that.
Tu amigo,
Jorge

I am seeing this thread for the first time so I must chime in and say well done! I was so lucky to be there for the maiden and again at BITW. This plane literally takes your breath away. The amount detail and scale presence is hypnotic, the more you look the more you see... And of course flown in a very professional, scale like manner. So if you get to see this plane, and see it fly, you feel the presence of greatness
P.S. Flew my CARF Hawk again (finally) yesterday. Burned 5 gallons of Diesel. It looks and flies perfectly.
P.P.S. I have nothing to do with a certain friend and his new dirt bike infatuation.
P.P.P.S. TDR
