RE: Skymaster T38 Talon
I give up, what happened there. They were supposed to ship them at the same time? I'm still in Los angles for the foreseeable future so I haven't seen it in person, but I'm told it looks good

Not sure if the others that just received their Skymaster T-38's are still following, but I did get mine a couple weeks back and have now started to go thru it visually. Some issues that stand out, it appears they install the wing brackets in the fuse formers after installing the intakes. None of mine are tight . all screws just spin. Looks like a wing failure in the making Not sure how to get to them yet. Cockpit was a mess, Period. Broken speed brake hinge /linkage; Not aligned correct. I will add some epoxy to the formers and some carbon strips as well. The plywood formers in my kit do not seem the best quality. I think best to re-inforce .
I have a Jetcat P180 rx dialed back to do the work.

Hello Planepartsguy,
I am starting mine now also. I am starting on the back with the stabs and getting those servos installed. Post some pics of your build and problems and questions and I will do the same.. One thing I was wondering the flat spots on the stabs do not line up with the linkage that they give you.. also it seems as though the brass rod in the stab is going to have to be cut because its hitting the exhaust pipe.. My cockpit was the same broke up half glued half not... Also it seems that the exhaust pipe can not be removed with out cutting the intake

Hey Dave,
I'll look at my H stabs to see where they flatten for the mount. I am starting at the nose working back for the moment. I want to reverse the nose strut so the scissors are forward.
One thing that is see on mine is that they used countersunk screws on a few smooth face mount plates of critical applications. What good is that.
I will also need to rebuild or reinforce a wing MLG mount that has a screw holding onto nothing. It looks eaten out by termites ? Why wood screws even?
I also have only 3 ea mounting inserts on the fuse for the nose attachment , it did not fall off, just never put on ; no problem though.
