ASP parts?
I recently got a ASP .46 on ebay.It does not have the little ratchet on the hi-speed needle and carb assembly.I assume it should have had one.Right now i have a piece of large tubing slipped over the needle and the post that the needle goes into.It seems to be holding ,now, but not sure how long that may last.
Does anyone know where to buy spare parts? Or maybe i need to buy a new carb? Does anyone know if the NEW carbs fit the older engines.I don't know how old this engine is but it looks in excellent condition,is very tight and really screams..
Here is the engine that needs the part for carb.

RE: ASP parts?
G'day I think you will find the OS equivalent part will fit. Your ASP is a pretty close copy of an earlier OS design. The more recent ones have moved on a bit but are still very similar to OS engines in may respects.
Your engine appears to be one of the earlier ones (I had one ages ago) but there is a good chance the current carby for the ASP 46 will fit too. You can get parts easily from hobbyking.com. I bought a more recent ASP 46 recently and also bought a spare carby. It did not cost a great deal. Be careful as there are two carbys available for the 46 - a rear needle version and one similar to yours with the needle in the carby.
Cheers
