Don't want to hijack the thread, is this the Sebart Blanik?
I am interested in it's 'recommended' tow plane - the Sebart Robin, but can't get much information about this...

Oliver, this is theEFlight/ Horizon Blanik. The Sebart robin looks to be a fine model but I think it will have limitations as a tow plane as it is only 1.7mtr span and is designed to be electric powered not that electric is detrimental to performance. It would certainly struggle to tow a Blanik I reckon.

Ok, the Sebart Blanik looks just like it, but has just 3.3 m wing span.
And they recommend their Robin as a tow plane, but I can't find much information about it.
I'd rather install a 4 stroke engine on this, a scale plane has to make noise.

I was not very happy with the control linkage that were in the hardware package some were very hard to thread on like had to force them to thread on or they were very loose and just did not seem to be up to the Quilitary of this glider.
I replace the aileron and flaps with push rods with Hanger 9 Titanium Pro link and sullivan 4-40 clevis.

OK We finally got time on the flowfet to cut out six turbine mounts. I have had contact from 4 people so far and they will be given first chance. I will be reaching out the the 4 people later today and hope you are still interested. They are in hand and will be ready to ship on Monday
The cost is $85 for the mount, heat shield and shipping in the continental US. Outside the US we will need to charge $100 for the difference in shipping charges. Sorry Canada!

Flew the turbo Blanik today. I am using a Jet Central super bee and as far as I am conserved the power is perfect. A 40 oz tanks gives about a 6 min flight. I would recommend some additional heat shield on the elevator and rudder. I add some aluminum tape and it did the job. I had alot of fun with it and it should make for many great flying days ahead

Mine is also getting ready. Waiting for my VT80 to come back from overhaul , so I'm probably going to maiden it in "turbine ready" configuration.

Completed the Kingtech 100 powered turbo Blanik and here is my mini review. She weighs 27 lbs dry. I have flown it at 2500 msl and at sea level. It flys very well, stable and forgiving. Although it will roll and loop with little speed carrying some inertia really makes the plane perform. Don't be afraid to get the speed up on her. She takes offs in about 150 ft with half flaps and will spot land with the use of the spoilers. I have found that the residual thrust is enough to keep her slowly trucking along, so spoilers or cutting the power on final helps. I am using full flaps and 10mm of crow, She flys inverted forever. The 4 degree of engine DOWN thrust is correct to ensure straight and level flight throughout the throttle range. I am using a 50 oz tank which allows for 7 minutes of powered flight or a lot more if I go way up and glide out the flight. Overall it has been a delightful and different project for me. There have been a couple of snags though. I have found that the use of a nose wheel where the bump is located is necessary. The high downthrust line / wheel drag will force the nose down on takeoff. Be sure to securely glue blocks or rails in place as the downward pressure is substantial on takeoff. I used some carbon fibre cloth in the area as well. Many modelers have reported cracking of the arch piller on harder landings. This may be due in part to the amount of glass used in the area making it a little weak.The use of carbon fibre tow behind and in front the arch will help strengthen the arch. Lastly,the conversion to turbine requires cutting out the vertical support of the arch bulkhead. This may cause some weakness of the main landing gear box. The box although nicely designed is only held in place of some fiberglass cloth. The upper plate that serves to hold the gear in place, WILL eventually pop off, as this is all that supports the main wheel. Many have reported this occurring and has happened to me as well. I would strongly suggest that this area have extra hysol and be reinforced with carbon fibre cloth / tape.
Anyway...that has been my experience as I continue to enjoy this unique turbine powered aircraft.
