RE: Sepulveda Basin
I got one hanging in my shop. I put all the RC flying events I want to go to in it.
Went to the AMA show today. The best part was seeing my RC friends at the scale booths. Wow love that B-29!!!

The basin is hosting a Q40 race this weekend. I went out Saturday to grab a few photos. Those little bugger's sure are hard to catch at the speeds they are flying.

RE: Sepulveda Basin
Wow, the Basin thread is kinda dead these days. I found it back on page 4. A certain guy from Ohio posts here more than the local guys!
L A Jets this weekend was especially fun because everyone was safe with no crashes, no fires, and great weather, and I was part of it again!

Hey Corey,
Very nice video!!
LA Jets was great fun even though I only got 2 flights in. I was keeping Brent in charged batteries and getting our demo jets ready for him to fly for us.
I got a lot of video as well. Here's the a video of new full composite F-20 kit. More videos to come, including your F-4.
My pics didn't upload here?? I'll try again later.

RE: Sepulveda Basin
It is with great sadness that I must inform you all of the sudden and untimely passing of Dave Rink (Taildraggerdave). Dave was a dedicated RC fixed wing and helicopter pilot who loved the basin and all who shared the field with him. I will always remember him for his kind smile, friendship, great attitude and willingness to help any fellow RC'er with whatever problem they might be having.
I will post details of his funeral as soon as they are available.
We have lost one of the best guys in the hobby.

RE: Sepulveda Basin
I'm really saddened to hear about this.
Dave was a great guy.
Dave (and his friend Tim) introduced me to formation flying. We were flying the same p51 for awhile.
Tim got into full scale while Dave got into 1/4 scale RC cars/trucks and then Harley Davidsons like 5 years back.
Any word on what happened to Dave?
