YPC and company

Loved the video. I just cant get enough of the seal action. We hit the New Jersey beach today. Surf was kinda weird. Lots of waves just not good waves. Waves breaking and lots of white water. We did two batterys and the dreaded coupling set screws stripped out. Got home and had to dremel cut it apart. Frozen to the motor shaft. Note to self: remove coupling oil and clean. All is well the motor shaft is in good shape and ready to go. Lots of people on the beach wanted one!

Howzit PP....The 'seal' seems to love playing around Bro'....so often....after a few minutes of being in the surf, Sammy the seal pulls in.....it must have something to do with the motor/prop resonance in the water- attracting him/her....I'm always expecting the seal to take a big bite at Bro'....LOL...it will do some major damage no doubt...

Hey BC....looks like ******** Lisa was the main attraction at that spot......whizzing very closely around the folks !.....It always amaze's me how steady the GoPro frame is....I must do some filming with mine some time......Its been a white elephant in my drawer up to now.....It would be great to be able to sink it with film from the beach to add different wave ride perspectives to the edited footage.....

Had an absolute blast rcSurfing past couple of days....simple enjoy it all ! Big or Small....

Hey guys Im thinking about flying south for a vacation. And thoughts how to pack the surfer for a air plane trip? Do they let you take lipo batteries in a plane? I just thought about that. Anything will help.

leg rope might work...lost my lisa's and dude's a few times not from breakin o rings but the way they would slip of the tbar... they would usually blow or wave in and sometimes real surfers would bring em in (they looked so funny held at the nose of real boarders comin into shore lol) .. so far was lucky the boards would stay upright and could motor them in

ypc.... no doubt someone is synching the GoPro with beach vision as we speak...no doubt plenty time needed to do that but.

mj..... nice pics.... the long paddle prob helped the arms holdin the camera steady hey... lol

Hey John that is a good idea shipping ground first. And then shipping them back that way. Yea maybe using backing peanuts around the surfer and foam will help.

Cool video YPC. Its hot as hell here. I just finished up installing a 120 amp esc and new motor in my second surfer. Bench tested ok. Brushless motors put out so much power. Sweet!

Howzit PP.....I saw on CNN.....parts of the US has serious heat ( and fires)...Dam...its been cold down South !

Brushless is a great 'upgrade'.......try setting the timing down to zero degrees...it will give you the most torque/power and longest run time.

Got to hit the beach for a brief session this arvi ...clouds stayed back - allowed the sun to shine through for a while........man... I love the Sun !

Same old session - as always - simply great fun!......love the sound track !....take Lisa-Marie and I down memory lane... happy thoughts...LOL....thanks Lenny K.

I just love the theatrics of the beach.....always a different stage....presenting different performers....
To-day we had the surf fisherman, patiently trying their luck at catching the 'big one' kids inquisitively discovering in the sand - whilst - the "Simons Town Yaught club hosted a keel yaught regatta in the bay....with Bro adding his well rehearsed 'surf act' to the program...it was an awesome collective scene for all to enjoy on a Winters day !.....

G'day Micro Rippers,

Unfortunately, Bob moved down south near Margaret River when I was in hospital so he won't be taking pics of JIMI too often in the future, he was in town about a month ago and gave me a call, he didn't even know that I had been so ill.

Pancreatic carcinoma is really heavy s***, so al positive thoughts, well wishes and prayers are gratefully accepted.
I have 1 more month of chemo to get through,  then I will have a scan to see how everything is going.

I am feeling reasonably well at the moment, all things considered.

Cheers,

JIMI

Thanks Jimi,
This wave breaks right next to the beach, if you prone out, you ride up the beach!
My 48" model has been taking a beating on this sand bar! This wave is by far the most fun you can have with out surfing yourself!
Keep the positive vibe going, and we will make sure to catch a few of those meat grinders with you in mind!!
Aloha,
Rc Resinator
