SLT Rx compatibility

SLT Rx compatibility
Will this receiver (linked below) work with a 12Z 2.4 transmitter?
Specifically, if I buy the FlyZone Beaver with SLT receiver, can I "bind" my 2.4 12Z without issue? I'm brand new to 2.4 systems, and a bit fuzzy on how this Tactic/AnyLink system works.
Also, is this a "park flyer" receiver of limited range?

RE: SLT Rx compatibility
No SLT freq's from Tactic and FASST tech from Futaba are not compatible. The receiver is advertised as full tange, however the Anylink module is advertised for < 1000 feet.

How about a DX8? I'm looking at getting the same Flyzone Beaver and have a spare AR6210 in a plane I'm selling, but curious to know if I should switch the receivers between the two before I sell the Cessna. If the SLT in the Beaver will bind to a Spektrum radio then I won't need to but if what I'm hearing is correct, I'll get better range out of the AR receiver anyway, so would be in my best interest to switch them out regardless.
