I have one too I brought it 80% done it's missing some cosmetics wind shield, graphics? are parts avalable for them? do you have to use the flying wires? and what is the c/g? thanks Erik

Erik,
The CG is 4.5" from the ledding edge of the bottom wing. Parts should be available since this kit is again available from Balsa USA.
Mine is an old kit from the 80s.

Back from, well not working on this plane. I took some time to install the cowling over the weekend. Does not look like much work but after spending almost three hours cutting, drilling, fitting and fitting some more it finaly fits! Here are some pics

Getting back to the Fly Baby. I installed the throtle servo and linkage. Also installed the tail bracing.
Next will be working on the fuel system and start instaling the control linkage and servos.

Finished the radio and servo instalation, fuel system and just about ready to start the covering.
I should be starting the covering next week. Here are some pics of the current stage.

Well I decided to take the easy route and use Monokote for finish. With the Taylorcraft still under restoration, there is so many hours available to spend on our hobby.
I am using the same color scheme as the original #1 Fly Baby build and flown by Pete Bowers back in 1962. Here are some pics of the covering job I started.
