I have not........I just started using sig coverall at the end of last year..........

I love solartex ...I was getting really good at putting that covering on.... When you get to big 1/3rd planes and 1/2 scale builds solartex works but not very well[&o]

I'll be rolling in Thursday late AM with a BUSA Taube that I've been working a few late nights on for the past couple of weeks. It's the one I bought pretty much ready to fly from Jeff Shutic 2 years ago. Sort of sad I guess that it took so long to get it flying.

I'm splurging and staying at the Holiday Inn Express this year. Just not into camping in the heat anymore. Yes, I'm a weenie!

The 2014 Ghosts The Great War calendars arrived today and I'll have them (of course) for sale. They're gorgeous as usual, and one lucky flyer will go home with one as a pilot's prize.

I have a few of the WWII calendars as well. and a few autographed copies of warbird photographer Phil Makanna fantastic book on WW1 aviation.



Looking forward to a wonderful few days of fellowship, photography and flying.

Helen and I are planning on heading down Thursday - hoping to arrive mid-afternoon.

Still gotta pack and such - it's looking like the Pup won't quite be ready to go [] - still installing important bits like fuel tank and plumbing, batteries and switches, and it's feeling like I'm skipping too many steps - I'll bring it along to work on, at least, and maybe hopefully get it far enough along to see if the engine runs, and what vibrates off!!

VERY much looking forward to seeing everyone there this weekend (and Mike, save me a calendar!!).

Well all you Dawn Patrollers we are getting close!

I just received a call from the First Sergeant at 730 AM!. Today.... He so politely reminded me of all the work has to be done before our guests start coming in [:'(]

I have seen the weather forecast and the ONLY thing we should take from these weather idiots is its going to be warm and muggy during peak heat hours 3-6 pm
SOOOOO...we put in extra attention in keeping our guest cool as possible.

Two 72" radial fan in tree grove area
One 72" swamp cooler(hillbilly a/c) in tree grove area
5 foot swimming pool..........yes swimming pool!
And Lastly a 20 foot ODP trailer that will have a/c on ....so you can cool down and recharge yourself and get your arse back on the flight line and get FLYING!

If you can can you bring the tool that you used to do the swirl marking on the Eindecker cowls.

Need to see just how to do that.

I took the back seat out of my Corolla so we can squeeze in a pop up sun canopy, lawn chairs ,cooler, clothes and hopefully three ( small) planes !
I hope that little 1.6 liter can pull all of our stuff with the air on high !

That's the spirit! I remember at the 2003 Dayton dawn patrol I had a Geo Storm hatch back... I had to remove the front passenger seat to transport my Eindecker to the event!

Sorry Mike no T-shirts, but I have calendars aplenty.

Paul, At least the "pool" won't need much water, what with some of us displace. Perhaps dropping an air compressor hose in it and make it a jacuzzi of sorts.

Seriously, you folks are the best!!
