More Praise for Kingtech Turbines.
I had my first non-jetcat turbine flights this last weekend and I must say I was impressed.
My new kingtech k-180g started so smoothly, had incredible throttle response and it moved my SM f-4 like a ROCKET!! WOW!!
It seemed to have twice the power of my trusty old Titan SE's.
It pains me to say this, but I think Jet-Cat may have to make some room at the top. [8D]
Kudos Kingtech. Now we'll have to see how the service is! (I hope I don't need much service, but I hear it phenomenal too!)

It would be great to run diesel. All of my other engines are JetCat so Kero is still on the burner. As soon as I run out of my current Aeroshell 500, I'll switch to something else.
Seriously, this K-180G seems to pull like my P200! And at 1/2 the price. If its reliability continues to be awesome (EVERYONE praises that aspect also) I will be hard pressed to buy another JetCat! []

On each and every pass Raf smiling ear to ear at the performance of his K-180! I have a Kingtech K-180 ready to be dropped into my SM F-4. Looking forward to doing Phantom formation flying with Raffy!

Inteesting timing, I've just ordered a SM F-4. Not currently the "HOT" SM plane but, my personal fave. Haven't decided on an engine yet, was leaning toward a Rhino as I have several other Jet Central's but, the Kingtech certainly looks interesting! I like the price! Are you fellow's running the "160 size SM pipe with it or the "200" size pipe? I've ordered the 160 pipe but, could probably change that at this point if I needed to.

What oil works with diesel fuel, what percent 5?

I am using 4-5% Mobil DTE light with no issues.
Just make sure you change your ECU parameters to the Kingtech diesel ones or you will get flame thrower

Very nice! Which pipe did you get? 160 or 200

I opted for a Tam pipe optimized for a 180. Which scheme are you getting? .

I got them to do a Marines scheme that they don't list as available but, had it shown on their front page.

I really like that scheme! My last F-4 had a P-200, so I would not want anything less than a 180.

No reason to ''pain'' if you couldn't afford the P-180RX .. if something comes close to JetCat that might be AMT and nothing else.
Also KingTech REP... but modeller first

If you were me and were trying to decide which engine to buy - which would you pick? I know a modeller who has been a long term Jetcat rep, dealer - just bought his first Kingtech. Hmmmmmm......

Not that I wouldn't respect it, but there are other turbine manufacturers out there who deliver reliable engines and accurate technical data on top of it (especially when it comes to thrust).
It is great to see that Kingtech established such a good reputation on the market. Imight be purchasing a K-60 soon.
