Default Global Superfly 15 size trainer..

Hello all,

I just picked up a lovely new in box Global Superfly trainer. I have everything to set it up for nitro but want to try something different this time. Looking for some recommendations for motor and esc to get the bird in the air with a 3/4s 4400mah battery.

Plane specs
Wingspan: 45in
Length : 35in
Weight: 2.75 pounds
Engine: .15

Desired Flight: Basic aerobatics

Only problem you may have is the landing gear may be to short for a 12X6 prop

Motor

ESC

Battery

Batteries have been out of stock for a long time, get them quick before they go.

Should have plenty of power and flight times around 8 to 10 minutes, depending on how much throttle you use.

Thank you for the recommendation. I have ordered the parts and a couple different props to see what works.

When working on the plane with the battery attached, please remove the prop. They can turn into blenders real fast.

That setup should give almost 4 pounds of thrust with a 12X6.

I always liked those planes. I would like to own a new one again.

Is there a flight report yet?

Late flight report... The plane is still alive... Over all the plane flew very well... Felt a little heavy, but I think it was mainly due to it being nose heavy. not much room in the plan to relocate stuff.

Your power set up was spot on. I used a 9.5x7 inch prop to get the ground clearance. after about 5 mins of flying on a 3s 2200 battery, I only used 1400.

Glad I could help out. With what little you used, you should be able to get nice long flights in.
