I've not tried a Sig Kougar canopy on the duellist, but I think it might be worth a try if they are still available. In fact, I think I'll see for myself, since the canopy has a raised frame appearance as well as the teardrop look. Great work on your ship, he's a great flier and well worth a redo.

Nice work! By the looks of your nacelles they have been moved in from the original design. I did this with the first one but left them wide on my current [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=7271436]Duellist[/link] that was built from plans.

I have a Great Planes P-51 canopy on mine and after a little cutting it fits and looks decent.

Anyone know where the CG should be and the control throws?

aa1a,
From another thread here at RCU: "Set up the Duellist control surfaces as you would a pattern Sunday flyer." That's a direct quotation from the earlier kit's instructions. And the later kit's booklet says the same thing.

However, the later booklet goes on to define those settings as 1/2" up and down on the ailerons and 3/4" up and down on the elevator. Rudder? On a twin always get as much as you can. The later booklet says "Rudder at full throw."

Just checked the plans, both note the CG as 4 3/8" from the leading edge of the wing, or 4 3/8" from the back side of F-3 if you have fillets keeping you from an accurate LE location.
