Where to buy plaques and awards?
Our club is hosting a fun fly on Labor Day weekend. I'm looking for recommendations for where to buy plaques and awards. Any suggestions?

Check your local sports outlet, they should be able to help. Also check your local bowling alley ~~ they get trophies made all the time . ENJOY !!! RED

Most medium size or up towns have a trophy shop any you only need to look as far as you local book in most cases and virtually all can accommodate with wall type plaques which are my favorites and usually least expensive.
A simple set of three with graduating sizes, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runs around sixty bucks at a local shop for my events .
Now if you want something that will become a legend that's a different matter for example for some years the well known national pylon event put on by J. Allen and the fellows down at Speedworld called the Winterfest before the loss of the field consisted of handmade Kachina Dolls appropriate for this part of the world. There were major battles fought over those things
Also don,t forget that the AMA has a trophy service that seems to be very competitive pricing but have not used them to date anyway.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I've been looking online (haven't checked locally, yet), but haven't found much that is "model airplane"-ish. I am close to Indianapolis, so I will check around here to see what local shops can procure.

Here are some plaques that I had made up for an event and in this case it was a pylon race and the logo on the plaques is a thirties pylon racer right out of the stock logo books that any trophy shop will have. This collection of nine plaques was about 160 bucks.
Any shop will have numerous books of a large selection of logos you can use. In fact this same logo is what I have used formerly in years past and when I changed shops it was just a matter to direct the the new shop to the logo and it is the same.
A simple look in your local directory under trophys may surprise you close by.
