Well noah, as you can tell I have been dragging my feet getting the p38 back into the air. I brought it to the meet with me to show that it was back from the dead.
It is ready to fly but I kept it on the ground, it has not been flown yet and the first flight should be at my home field.

John actually won the best flight trophy with his big stearman.

I am going to have to do some secret stuff at my skunk works laboratory. Todds p-40 was a rocket and made my p-51 look like a slug.

I had a great time at Warbirds Over Iowa and much thanks to all the folks that put on a great fly-in. Hoping to attend in the future with a larger fleet. The weather was almost perfect and very few crashes which is a plus in my book. Keep them flying and happy landings..........P-40 dave

I would like to thank the Skyhawks and all Warbirds Over Iowa pilots for the hospitality and friendship provided to my son Alex and I. We were there with our Byron P-47, the gray/yellow SNJ, and the Bearcat, and in spite of breaking a gear leg on the 47 we had a great day! We are rather new to the hobby and really appreciate the advice and assistance given us, and hopefully this is the start of something we can enjoy a long time. I hope we get to see you again at Owatonna and Fond du Lac!

Hey Guys, Wanted to share some of these really nice photos taken at Warbirds over Iowa 2013. These were taken late in the day when the clouds of Iowa provided almost painterly backdrops to fly in front of. This was a very well run event and it just keeps getting better every year! Thank to the Skyhawks for great event!
