The battle for Ironton was fought today, July 21, 2013. After fierce, back and forth, 1/16 scale, tank fighting by both sides , we are happy to tell you that the Dads were victorious and regained control of Ironton and all the surrounding areas from those pesky 8 year olds.

It was Andy who had the idea of hiding from the jabos... in truth we just had them parked in the shade. The sun at 10,000 feet is very harsh.

They drove north, and we drove south, till we meet and had a battle. Two father / son teams having fun outdoors. It was a great outing and kept my son away from TV all day.

The spot is National Forest land and open to camping by anyone. Our battle site is over the foot bridge and away from cars, dirtbikes, etc...

You too could battle tanks there. But bring lots of bug spray if you do, we ran out.
