Gear set for futaba s9551 low profile
It looks like both s9551 (aileron servos) on my visa have developed some play near the center, after 1 and half seasons. I was not able to find any dedicated replacement gear set for the servo on the market.
Question: is replacement [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXYAF3&P=FR]gear set[/link] for BLS551 compatible with s9551?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Gear set for futaba s9551 low profile
I opened up one 9551 servo today and could not find anything wrong with these gears. So I cleaned and re-greased the gears. Seems like the play becomes much smaller after the servo is put back, possibly the original positions of the gears around the center are re-arranged and the mesh improves.
BTW, the 9551 gears are quire similar to those in the BLS551 set and I am waiting a reply from Futaba to confirm.

RE: Gear set for futaba s9551 low profile
I put some 9551 (new ones) in my spark this spring and found them to have some play and with the long arms I have to use to get the trow I want for snaps it became some play on the aileron, I have now flown about 200 flights with them and they dont seems to develop any more play (at least not that I have notice) .
But I search for some new ones but have been to lazy to do anything more about it..
