Mountain Hobbies boats... GTG?
I have plans to eventually build my own gas boat from the hull up, but my area lacks any lhs or racer support. While searching for an RTR gas boat, Ive come across the usual suspects such as Pro Boat and Aquacraft up to the higher end stuff from Warehouse Hobbie and Express Craft.
My search brought me to a company called Mountain Hobbies out of Tennessee. Their prices seem fair, especially for the list of included goodies built into their RTR hulls. Is anybody familiar with Mountain Hobbies, and the quality of their work?
Heres a link to their RTR boats if anyone is interested in checking them out. I dont want to spend a dime until I know if they're worth the money.

Seen them in pics but never heard any feedback on their quality. As far as the ones you mentioned Exprescraft is your best bet all the way around. Warehouse hobbies is good for starter products BUT i heard they are going out of business,so i would pass on them only due to that matter. Other than that they do make good quality products.

Those look like nice boats, and the prices are good too. One thing I would do though is get rid of that wrap to center header and put in a 100 degree header. The wrap to center header looks really clean, but it makes it really hard if you have to adjust your pipe length.

Tony is a great guy...have been to his shop a few times to pick up hulls. Sad to hear that!!!
But yeah i think if your on a budget check Tom and you will get some good advice, have owned a few of his hulls, still own a 65" GTX. Rick also has great hulls as i have owned a few of his hulls and have one of his 70" fountain's that im fitting with a Jet Cat turbine. A few more bucks, but very scale looking boats.[8D]
